Katia Porro has curated exhibitions in institutions such as the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard (Paris), Gether Contemporary (Copenhagen), as well as other independent and off-site projects. She has published texts in the fields of contemporary art and design in publications such as the Journal of Modern Craft, KLIMA, and Disegno, and is commissioned regularly by artists and galleries to write texts.
She also works as a professional translator, currently translating for KLIMA magazine, A.W.A.R.E Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions, among others.
She holds a Masters in Contemporary Art and Curation (L’art contemporain et son exposition) from Sorbonne Université – Faculté des Lettres, as well as an M.A. in the History of Design and Curatorial Studies from Parsons Paris – The New School.
She thus develops a transdisciplinary practice investigating the social dimensions of the domestic space and built environment.
