Katia Porro is a curator, writer and translator. In November 2020, she joined the team of the Amant Foundation as the Associate Director of their residency program in Sienna, Italy.
She has curated exhibitions in institutions such as the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard (Paris), Gether Contemporary (Copenhagen), as well as other independent and off-site projects. She has published texts in publications such as the Journal of Modern Craft, KLIMA, and Disegno, and is commissioned regularly by artists and galleries to write texts.
She works as a translator for KLIMA magazine, A.W.A.R.E Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions, among others.
She holds a Masters in Contemporary Art and Curation (L’art contemporain et son exposition) from Sorbonne Université – Faculté des Lettres, as well as an M.A. in the History of Design and Curatorial Studies from Parsons Paris – The New School.
She thus develops a transdisciplinary practice investigating the social dimensions of the domestic space and built environment.
